One-day National Level Workshop on
Applied Mass-Spectrometry and Recent Advances in Biomedical Engineering
P.A. College of Engineering, Mangaluru conducted MS - AdBiomed 2016 - a one-day national level workshop on applied mass-spectrometry and recent advances in Biomedical Engineering on 19th of November 2016. The programme was organized by Biotek Forum of Department of Biotechnology. Delegates from the other Engineering colleges, medical colleges and science colleges of Karnataka and Kerala region attended the workshop.
The formal Inaugural function was held in the presence of the chief guest of the function, Dr. Keshava Prasad, professor & Deputy Director, YU-IOB Center, YRC, Yenepoya University. Dr. Abdul Sharief (Principal), Dr. Ramis MK (Vice Principal), Dr. Zahid Ansari (Dean Research), Dr Krishna Prasad N (HOD- Department of Biotechnology), Staff & student coordinators , HODs of all departments were present for the inaugural function.
Resource persons for the morning session of the workshop were Dr. Keshava Prasad, professor & Deputy Director, YU-IOB Center, YRC, Yenepoya University and Dr. Khalid Parwez, Associate professor, Department of Biotechnology, PACE, Mangaluru,. Dr. Sneha M. Pinto & Dr. Yashwanth Subbannayya, Faculty Scientists, YU-IOB, YRC, Yenepoya University handled the afternoon session of the hands on MS at YRC, Yenepoya University.
The Valedictory function for the workshop held at YRC, Yenepoya University following the afternoon session. The resource persons were honoured with mementos as token of appreciation. Certificates were distributed to the participants and their feedbacks about the workshop were collected.
