SPARK: Career and Challenges in Mechanical Industry: 

(IT focus)

Aworkshop entitled “SPARK: Career and Challenges in Mechanical Industry: PHASE-1(IT focus)”  for Mechanical Engineers was conductedby Dr. Zahid Ansari, Dean (Research),P.A. College of Engineering on 22/03/2017,to motivate the pre final year students of MechanicalEngineering department, to hone their programming skillsto excel in the mechanical industry. The major objectives of the program were to enable the students to identify the importance of learning programming and the required tools efficiently.

 In this workshop, Prof. Ahmed RimazFaizabadipresented a systematic approach to plan their career in mechanical industry as freshmen by using programming. To summarize the Prof.Rimaz concluded If you\'re a scientist or engineer, programming can enable you to work 10 to 100 times faster and to come up with more creative solutions than your colleagues who don\'t know how to program and advised to learn just enough about programming, it helps in developing algorithmic thinking.

 Vice-Principal and HOD Mechanical Dr. Ramis M K addressed the students tocome forward and utilize theopportunities and infrastructural support offered by PACE to hone their professional profile with niche of programming skills. The program was conducted at 12:00 noon, in EDUSAT hall with full attendance of the 6th Semester Mechanical students, and coordinated by Prof.Avinash,Prof.Shahbaz S M, Prof. Mohan K P in presence of Dr. Shankar K S andProf. SK Jamil Ahmed.
