Report on Graduation Day Ceremony September 9th, 2017

PA College of Engineering organized its graduation day ceremony at its eclectically designed new auditorium in the institute premises on 9 September 2017 at 9:30 AM.  Graduates who passed out during the academic year 2016 -17 received their graduation certificates from the Chief Guest, Dr. U Ramesh, Regional officer and Director, AICTE South Western Regional Office, Kerala & Karnataka, Graduation day Addresser, Dr. M Abdul Salam, former Vice chancellor, University of Calicut, Distinguished Guest, Shri. Shrinivas M. Jamkhandi Director/Deputy Secretary to Govt. of India, Ministry of MSME, New Delhi, whose ubiquitous presence was felt by the gathering gathered in the auditorium.

The formal function commenced with an invocation by Janab. Izzudheen Kausari, Imam, PACE Masjid, which was followed declaring the opening of the ceremony by Dr. P A Ibrahim Hajji, Chairman & Managing Trustee, P.A Educational trust (Reg.)Mangaluru.

Mr. Abdulla Ibrahim, Executive Director, PAET welcomed the gathering and congratulated the graduates for their successful completion of the degree and added technology can make a positive change to the society to which the young engineers are responsible.

Dr. P.A. Ibrahim Hajji Chairman & Managing Trustee, P.A Educational trust (Reg.)Mangaluru presided over the ceremony. In his presidential address, he galvanized the gathering by addressing the graduates and announcing his further contribution to the field of education by starting new futuristic courses like food technology and Dietetics in the campus. He requested the engineering and technology graduates to make India 2nd silicon valley of the world. He also shared his proud moment, when students of his Institution host him during his foreign visits. He also requested the graduates to take proper steps in their future with proper taught, consideration and ethics.

Dr. M Abdul Salam apprised the graduates by congratulating them and added, a true recipe for success is the mixture of divine ingredients like discipline, hard work, proper utilization of the opportunities provided, good attitude and spirituality. He told the graduates to actively take part in the progress of our country by applying themselves in various initiatives taken by Indian Government. He ended his didactic speech by quoting profusely Swami Vivekanandas quotes "Talk to yourself at least once in a Day, otherwise you may miss a meeting with an EXCELLENT person in this World."

In his address to the graduates, Chief Guest Dr. U Ramesh forewarned the young graduates regarding the present scenario of education in the country and educated the gathering about the challenges the present generation have to face,  to be more competitive and special out of nine hundred thousand graduates coming out of Technological colleges every year.  He further added by mentioning that Alumnis are the most important part of any Educational Institution and they must contribute in every way possible for the betterment of their Alma Matter.

Shri. Shrinivas M. Jamkhandi, was yet another venerated guest in the ceremony, in his address to the graduates, he gave 60% of his compliments to parents, 30% to faculties of the institution and 10% to the graduates for their successful completion of their degree and congratulated them. He advised graduates to be a role model to their Juniors, told them to take the decision keeping our country in their mind. He also felt proud to celebrate his Birthday amongst the profound scholars in the auditorium.

Principal Dr. Abdul Sharief administered the institutional oath to the graduates,  Mr. K. M Haneef, Director Administration, Prof. Surfraz Hasim J, Director Academics, Heads of the Departments, Adjunct faculty Members and Members of PAET were present during the ceremony.  Dr. Ramis M K, Vice Principal, PACE proposed the vote of thanks.
