The growth of a developing nation like India lies in the volume and quality of research at academia and laboratories. So PACE has envisioned the idea of “VISION 2020” of Late Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam and encouraged the research, right from its establishment. PACE believes that research is integral element and must remain vital in the development of an academic institution. Hence equal emphasize is given to both basic and applied research, because it’s the basic research, which supplies impetus to the applied research. PACE has the following seven VTU recognized research centers offering Ph.D. and M.Sc. (Engg.) by Research courses:
PACE is actively involved in research at all the departments under the supervision of Dr. Zahid Ansari Dean (Research). The institute is provided with well-equipped laboratories, specialized equipment, the full range of required infrastructure, including campus-wide networking and high-speed internet access, subscription to a number of print and online journals, and more. So you find a broad spectrum of activities from Chemistry to Biotechnology, Physics to Civil Engineering and Mathematics to Business Administration without overlooking the Mechanical, Electrical, Hardware and Software aspects of the problems at hand. Cutting edge solutions in Computer Science and Electronics Engineering are emerging out of the research work carried out at PACE.
PACE encourages its teaching and students fraternity to publish their findings in reputed journals and conferences. Support is given to participate in national and international conferences and thereby network with experts from India and abroad. As a result even the undergraduate project works are being published in reputed international journals/conferences. Consultancy work by employees is also encouraged by the institution. At the helm of the research activities are motivated intellects available among its staff and the students, with the clear objective to improve the interaction between the industry and academia for solving various socially relevant problems. Over 20 Ph.D. faculty members and more than 60 research scholars are working on recent advances in various fields with the goal of enhancing the research.
PACE experiencing healthy growth in amount of funding received from different agencies like AICTE, VGST, DST, BRNS etc. Memoranda of Understanding have been signed with other institutes and organizations where collaboration in research and development promises to synergetic advantages for mutual growth. The faculty of PACE have received many awards and recognitions on national and international forums. The PACE is actively looking for more collaboration with industries and government agencies to work on cutting edge problems with its expanding intellectual and infrastructural capabilities.
Dr. Zahid Ansari,
Dean (Research)We believe research is an integral element in the development of an academic institution and remains vital in creation of new knowledge. Cutting edge research improves the methods in teaching, unleashes the skills of the next generation and contributes to social, economic and cultural development of societies to transform INDIA into a developed nation. PACE gives equal emphasize to both basic and applied research, because it’s the basic research, which supplies impetus to applied research. PACE has seven VTU recognized research centers offering PhD and M.Sc.(Engg.) by Research courses.
PACE has attracted various funding’s and established well-equipped research labs. The MoU’s have been signed with other organizations. PACE encourages its teaching and students fraternity to publish their findings and do the consultancy work /Internships. Innovative research is resulting in conferring Ph.D. degrees, winning awards and quality publications. To augment the quality of interaction between the industry and academia our immediate plan is to establish a Center of Excellence for Research & Innovations (CERI) in campus. CERI will be a platform for experimenting new ideas and translating them into useful research findings. It will also cater the growing needs of research fraternity and help the students to go an extra mile to learn beyond academic curriculum and be industry ready.
I welcome you to be part of our endeavor to offer you an excellent platform to actively participate in Research and Innovation activities while pursuing your B.E./ M.Tech./ MBA/ Ph.D./ M.Sc.(Engg.) by Research degrees, at PACE. The MHRD scholarships can be availed for GATE qualified students for the P.G. courses offered at PACE.
P.A. College of Engineering has seven VTU recognized research centres offering Ph.D. and M.Sc. (Engg.) by Research courses.
