Today innovation is a key behind technological development. Campuses are the right places to breed innovation. Therefore a need was felt to create awareness amongst the students about “Entrepreneurship as a career option”. P. A college of Engineering, since its inception in 2000, has focused on developing the entrepreneurship skills of the students. Entrepreneur Development Cell (EDC), as per the guidelines of affiliating University, VTU, aims to introduce entrepreneurs and motivate students in the direction of implementing ideas and get in touch with the growing technologies.
The EDC headed by Dr. Krishna Prasad, Prof. and Head, Department of Biotechnology, consists of members from each department.
The Entrepreneurship Development Cell organizes workshops, technical talks and seminar for the benefit of students. The Entrepreneurship Cell invites Entrepreneurs from various domains to share their experiences. The main motive behind Entrepreneurship Cell is to create an environment for self-employment, promote innovation, incubation and product development through formal and non-formal programs.
