Astrix 22 –Pace fest 2022, an intra-college technical and cultural fest was organized at PA College of Engineering on 17th and 18th June 2022. The objective of the fest was to provide a platform for the students to display their talent with a competitive spirit.
The event commenced with a formal function and inauguration at 09:30 a.m. Ms. Vaishnavi Shetty welcomed the gathering. Mr. Mohammed Mehraan proposed the vote of thanks. The dignitaries present for the event were Dr. Ramis M. K (Principal), Dr. Sharmila Kumari (Vice-Principal), Dr. Sayyed Amin (Dean-Student Affair), Prof. Ismail Shafi (Co-scholastic Co-ordinator). Prof. Mohammad Asif Raibag, Prof. Praveen Suvarna and Prof. Fathimath Raihan were the fest coordinators. Mr. Mohammed Bilal Afrad, Mr. Hisham Abdul Razik, Mr. Mohammed Mubasheer and Mr. Bishir were the student Coordinators.
In his address, Dr. Ramis M.K. elucidated the relevance of the fest highlighting various aspect such as team spirit, leadership quality and coordinating capacity among students. He also stated with these events various skills of students in Co-Curricular activities is developed that exposes them to the current trends in the technical and professional fields. He also underlined to bring a change in the notion of expressing oneself in their talents than impressing others.
The two day grandeur of the fest was awe inspiring as observed from the overwhelming response from the students of various departments who competed with a zeal for the two-day college level fest. Students actively participated in all of the 38 events and highlighted their skill. The various events in the fest included Code hunt, Mappila Song, Stress interview, Treasure Hunt, Debate, Sketching, General Quiz ,Mehndi, Usual Suspect, Poetry , IT quiz , Cricket county, Tug of war to name a few. Flea Market was one of the notable event where students arranged nearly 15 food stalls voluntarily as part of cooking without fire contest and jubilant participation was seen. Freestyle & Bike Show (RDX-Kannur) and Mega Concert (LOHAR BAND and DJ Nauman) were the key events that students participated and enjoyed. Apart from these many more events were equally planned, executed and were managed well as per the PACE ethos. The winners were encouraged with attractive prizes for all the events.
The Final Year and Pre-Final year students of PACE deserves a wholehearted appreciation for their stupendous contribution for their complete and disciplined effort for making “ASTRIX-22” Fest a grand success.
P. A. College of Engineering is all set to organize the PACE fest: “ASTRIX 22” on 17th and 18th June, 2022. The name revelation of the fest was done on 31st May, 2022, by Principal Dr. Ramis M. K., Vice Principal Dr. Sharmila Kumari, Dr. Sayed Ameen, Dean, Student Affairs, PAET, Mr. Ismail Shaffi, Co-Scholastic Activities Coordinator in the presence of staff coordinators of the fest Prof. Asif Raibagh, Prof. Praveen Suvarna, Prof. Fathimath Raihana, along with student coordinators Mohammad Bilal Afrad, Hisham A. R., Abdullahi Bishir, and Mohammad Irfan.
PACE Fest is conducted every year in the campus, where the students get an opportunity to exhibit their talent.
ENCORE 19 - A two day fest for engineering students of P.A. College of Engineering was held on 25th & 26th of March 2019. ENCORE 19 was inaugurated by Dr. Abdul Sharief, Principal PACE in auditorium at 9:15am on 25th March. Heads of various departments and faculty coordinators were present.
The fest consisted of varieties of Technical, Videography, Art & Literature, Spot Games, Gaming and Various Cultural events. To name a few of them: Code Hunt, Web Designing, Tech Treasure Hunt, Journalism, Calligraphy, Fun from Junk, Face Painting Akinator, Spelling Bee, J.A.M., C.I.D., FIFA etc.
Valedictory program was conducted on 26th March at 5:45pm. Dr. Abdul Sharief, Principal, Dr. Ramis M.K., Vice Principal, Prof. Surfraz Hashim J., Director Academics, and Prof. Mohammed Saleem were also present during the Valedictory program.
The programs were coordinated by Prof. Mohammed Saleem, Prof. Sleeba Mathew and Prof. Amrutha Kamath. Mr. Afreez-8th CV, Ms. Aysha-8th EC, Mr. Sinan-8th ME & Mr. Saud-8th CS were the student coordinators.
EUPHORIA 2K18 - A two day fest for Engineering students of P.A. College of Engineering was held on 2nd & 3rd of March 2018. Dr. Abdul Sharief, Principal PACE, inaugurated EUPHORIA 2K18 at 9:30am on 2nd March 2018. Various Technical, Non-Technical and cultural events were conducted. The few technical events conducted are Troubleshooting Code, Circuit Rig Up, and Technical Quiz etc. Non technical events like Variety Talent Show, General Quiz, Stress Interview, Just a Minute and Creative Writing etc. were conducted. The cultural events included Anthakshari, Group Song, Oppana etc.
Apart from above events, the games like Sjort Movie Making, Tug of War, Silly Cricket, and Food Fest were also organised during 27th & 28th February.
Valedictory program was conducted on 2nd March at 5:45pm. Dr. Abdul Sharief, Principal, Prof. Surfraz Hashim J., Director Academics, and Prof. Sayyad Ameen were also present during the Valedictory program.
The programs were coordinated by Prof. Ronaq Ahamed, Prof. Shahabaz, Prof. Asif Raibhag and Prof. Dishadvi.
CANTUS 2K17 - A two day fest for engineering students of P.A. College of Engineering was held on 22nd & 23rd of February 2017. CANTUS 2K17 was inaugurated by Dr. Abdul Sharief, Principal PACE on the forenoon session of 22nd February. The fest consisted of more than thirty five events which included both Technical & Non-Technical and cultural events. The few technical events conducted are Hardware Skill, Breaking the Code, Software Skill etc. Non technical events like Debate, Stress Interview, Quiz, Creative Writing etc were conducted. The cultural events included Anthakshari, Rangoli, Hogothon etc.
Valedictory program was conducted on 27th afternoon. Dr. Ramis M.K. (Vice Principal), Prof. Surfraz Hashim J. (Director Academics), Dr. Antony A.J. (Dean of Students Affairs) and Prof. Nabeel Ahemad (Cultural Co-ordinator) were also present during the Valedictory program. The overall championship of AESTUS 2K16 was bagged by the department of Mechanical Engineering.
AESTUS 2K16 - A two day fest for Engineering students of P.A. College of Engineering was held on 26th & 27th of February 2016. AESTUS 2K16 was inaugurated by Dr. Abdul Sharief, Principal PACE on 26th February Morning. The fest consisted of more than forty events which included both Technical & Non-Technical and cultural events. The programs were coordinated by Prof. Shiny Mathew, Prof. Rashel Sarkar and Prof. Shohaib Kamal of PACE.
Valedictory program was conducted on 27th afternoon. Dr. Ramis M.K. (Vice Principal), Prof. Surfraz Hashim J. (Director Academics), Dr. Antony A.J. (Dean of Students Affairs) and Prof. Nabeel Ahemad (Cultural Co-ordinator) were also present during the Valedictory program. The overall championship of AESTUS 2K16 was bagged by the department of Mechanical Engineering.
Technothon is an inter-collegiate technical fest conducted every year at college campus.
PACE Technothon-16 a state level inter collegiate technical fest was organized by P.A. College of Engineering, Mangaluru, on 12 th April 2016.The fest included 20 events specific to different engineering branches and 5 general events. The engineering events were held under 4 groups namely Cybertron (Computer science & Engg.), Sthapathi (Civil Engg.), Isaret (Electronics, Electrical Engg. and Biotechnology) and Entice (Mechanical Engg.). The events tested the skills of participants in coding, design, creativity, general knowledge and paper presentation. Over 400 participants from various Engineering colleges have taken part in this fest.
Tathva, a state level intercollegiate technical fest is conducted every year by Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) - PACE Chapter.
Tathva'15 was conducted on 17th October, 2015 at P.A. College of Engineering campus. Tathva'15 had various events like Paper presentation, Quiz, Mock press, Robowars, Truss Making, Circuit Rig up, Web designing and many more. More than 300 students from the various colleges in the state participated in the event and exhibited their talents.
Mr. Kishore Alva- Executive Director, Project Development and Corporate Affairs UPCL, Udupi was the Chief Guest for the valedictory ceremony of Tathva'15. He appreciated the enthusiasm within the student community and advised them to find innovative ways to meet the energy crisis facing around us. Dr. Abdul Sharief, Principal presided the function. Prof. Divya Shetty welcomed the gathering. Ms. Sreelaxmi, proposed the vote of thanks. The overall championship was bagged by St Joseph Engineering College.
Scientifica is an intercollegiate science exhibition and competition held by P. A. College of Engineering. The main objective of this programme was to popularize science and technology in the young minds.
Scientifica 2K15 was conducted on 31st October 2015 at the college campus. More than 450 students participated from 40 colleges of Utharakannada, Udupi, Mangalore, Kasargod and Kannur Districts in various events such as Quiz, Collage, drawing, essay writing, elocution and science model competition and exhibition. This one day programme saw enthusiastic youngsters competing with zeal, speaking their hearts out and displaying artistic skill along with exhibiting science models and explaining the working principle and its benefits to the society.
Viveka P.U College,Kota won first place in the science model competition and Sharada PU College,Mangalore won second place. In quiz competition the first prize was bagged by Sharada PU College, Mangalore and second prize by MES Chaithanya PU College Shirsi. Sharada PU College, Mangalore won first place in the drawing competition and second prize by ST. Agnes P U College Mangalore. Expert P. U College of Mangalore bagged first price in elocution competition and Govindas P. U. College, Surathkal bagged the second price. Sharada PU College, Mangalore won overall champions trophy. Each technical departments of the college organized exhibits to show case and impregnate the idea of specialized branches among the students. Students were exposed to truss making, 3D modeling and surveying in the Civil Engineering department.
Programme started at 9.00 am with registration lasted till 4.30pm in the evening. Prof. Chandrashekar Shetty from Dept of Physics, St Aloysius College Mangalore, Conducted the Quiz Programme. In the valedictory programme Prof. Chandrashekar Shetty, Professor and Coordinator, PG programme, St. Aloysius College, Mangalore, Dr. Abdul Sharief (Principal), Dr. Ramis M K (Vice Principal), Dr. Krishna Prasad N, and Prof. Ismail Shaffi, and Ms. Divya Shetty were the dignitaries on the Dias. The organizers of the committee, Prof. Ismail Shaffi welcomed the guests, Dr. Krishna Prasad N. gave introductory speech, and Prof. Divya Shetty thanked the gathering. Price distribution was organized by Prof. John Valder, HOD, Department of EEE, and Prof. Fathimath Rehana of Department of EEE. Ms. Jameela Ruhi and Ms. Rim Juleka compeered the entire programme.
BYTESTRUCK is a showcase event to explore the open software usefulness to the community of students of High school and PU students. This event is organized by the Department of Computer Science & Engineering and GLUG PACE for spreading awareness of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) among the PU and high school students and hence to encourage them to use Open software.
BYTESTRUCK-2015 was conducted on 4th of Nov. 2015. The function was presided by Dr. Abdul Sherief, Principal. The chief guest of the function was Mr. Abdulla Ibrahim P A, Executive Director, P A Educational trust. He stressed on the importance of participating in these kinds of events which help the student community to know about developments in the IT field. And also he highlighted the participation in such programmes made them to exhibit their knowledge among their peers. Dr. Ramis, M K, Vice Principal, mentioned that the creative thinking of students will be exposed by participating in these kind of programmes. The analytical and logical thinking of students is unveiled in these kind of events. Dr. Zahid Ansari, Dean, Research, addressed the students and explored the usefulness of open software. Dr. M Sharmila Kumari, Head of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering gave report on BYTESTRUCK event. Dr. Sharmila Kumari has mentioned the contributions of GLUG PACE team for all round development of society in terms of many contributions such as RAKSHAK, a user friendly software to farmers for their better living, and also helps in spreading the culture of open software solutions and its usage.
In this BYTESTRUCK-2015 event, more than 200 enthusiastic students of PU College and High School in and around Mangalore region and Kerala state were participated in the programme.
