The workshop was based on Application Development without using any programming language using Drag and Drop technique provided by open source community Kodular.
The workshop was organized especially for first year students. In the first year of graduation student does not know programming much, in this scenario developing mobile application is very difficult using programming languages, like Java or Kotlin. The Drag and Drop technique is very easy for non programming background students to do their advance projects. The motive behind the workshop was to enhance beginners to design advance projects interfacing hardware and software in the first year of graduation itself.
In the entire workshop students got to learn many basics of app development. They learnt as well as practiced in the workshop itself. All the participants designed several applications like, Text to Audio convertor, CGPA Calculator, Basic Calculator, Home Automation and Robotics Car. In this workshop they got to learn several important topics like, how to interface Bluetooth module with the microcontroller Atmega328 and Android Phone, conversion of text into audio, usage and algorithm of mathematical operations, implementation of trigonometric functions etc.
After completing the session students were very comfortable able to design their app as per their need. Not only this, live app testing process was taught so that they can design app perfectly. Participants designed an App for controlling Robotics car, and tested designed app over a Robotic E-Harvesting Vehicle. The vehicle had features of moving in all directions, cutting the grass, and medicine pumping. The car was interfaced with microcontroller Atmega328p and Bluetooth module HC-05.
Around 240 students from multiple sections took part in the workshop and got to learn the modern technique of Application Development. Participants got E-certificate of completion issued by the PACE-IEEE SB.
