SPARKION: Showcasing Innovation through Project Exhibition

Dec 6, 2024 - Dec 6, 2024

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at P.A. College of Engineering successfully organized the SPARKION Project Exhibition on 6th December 2024. This event provided a dynamic platform for students to present their innovative projects, bridging the gap between theoretical concepts and practical applications. A total of 13 projects were showcased, covering diverse fields such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), automation, the Internet of Things (IoT), and electronics.

The primary objectives of the exhibition were to encourage creativity, teamwork, and technical expertise while enabling students to address real-world challenges with practical and innovative solutions. The event was meticulously coordinated by Dr. Asiya Hazareena, whose guidance and support ensured its smooth execution.

The event was officially inaugurated by Prof. Mohammad Hussain K., who highlighted the importance of project-based learning and the role of practical applications in engineering education.

Students exhibited their projects through working models, prototypes, and detailed posters. They actively engaged with guests, explaining the objectives, methodologies, and potential applications of their work.

A panel of distinguished judges evaluated the projects, ensuring a fair and thorough assessment. The panel included Dr. Zakir B, Assistant Professor in the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Mohammed Saifudheen, Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, and Mohammed Saleem, Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Among the 13 projects presented, the following four were recognized for their innovation and impact:
1. AI-Powered ID Card Detection Camera
Team Members: Noora, Hala, Asna, and Nafiya
2. Gesture Vocalizer
Team Members: Umair, Suhail, Ashir, and Suprith
3. Autosort: Intelligent Waste Sorter
Team Members: Prajwal, Lakshan, Bashil, and Noushad
4. Automated Seed Sowing Machine
Team Members: Swabeeh, Alvan, Usaid, and Adil

The Project Exhibition was a resounding success, providing students with an invaluable opportunity to showcase their technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities. It fostered teamwork, critical thinking, and innovation while allowing students to engage with faculty and peers to discuss emerging trends in technology. The event was a clear reflection of the innovative potential of the students in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
