The IEEE Student Branch of P. A. College of Engineering organized its Orientation Program on 15th April 2025, from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM in the college Seminar Hall. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Parameshachari B. D., Vice Chair (MDC) of the IEEE Bangalore Section, and Dr. S. V. Sathyanarayana, Chair of the IEEE Mangalore Subsection, as the Chief Guest and Guest of Honor respectively. The program was inaugurated in the presence of Dr. Ramis M. K., Principal of P.A. College of Engineering, and Dr. Sharmila Kumari, Vice Principal, who delivered encouraging words to the student community. The event also saw the participation of Dr. Mohammed Zakir Bellary, IEEE Branch Counselor, HoD (AIML), who emphasized the importance of mentorship and faculty involvement in student growth. 

Abdul Kader Suhair Afran, the Student Branch Chair of P.A. College of Engineering, welcomed the gathering and introduced the goals of the IEEE Student Branch for the academic year. Both invited guests shared their inspiring journeys with IEEE and emphasized the vast range of benefits the organization offers to students. 

Dr. Parameshachari highlighted how IEEE helps bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements through access to cutting-edge research, global networking, and career development resources. 

Dr. Sathyanarayana spoke about the importance of being a part of a global technical community, encouraging students to participate in conferences, publish papers, and collaborate on innovation-driven projects. 

The program also included an overview of IEEE member activities and on-spot registration for new members. The event successfully motivated students to explore the opportunities offered by IEEE and take an active role in technical and professional development.
