Scope and Career in AI – Alumni Interactive Session

An interactive alumni session on “Scope and Career in AI” was successfully conducted on 13th April 2026 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at P. A. College of Engineering, Mangaluru, with active participation from students and faculty members.
The session was conducted by distinguished Industry Professionals, Mr. Ibrahim Kareem, Azure Security Engineer at Microsoft, and Mr. Ahammed Nehal, Network Engineer (TAC) at Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
They shared valuable insights on career opportunities in Artificial Intelligence, industry expectations, and the importance of technical and soft skills.
The session was highly interactive, enabling students to gain practical exposure and clarify their queries related to AI careers, placements, and required skill sets. Students actively participated and benefited from the expert guidance provided.
The event was coordinated by Prof. Mohammed Saleem, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Prof. Arshiya Nazneen N Z, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, who also served as the Master of Ceremony (MC). The program was organized under the guidance of Dr. Asif Hassan, Head of the EC Department.
The session was also graced by the presence of Dr. Asiya Hazareena, Prof. Mohammad Hussain K., Placement Officer, and Mr. Mohammed Faizal, Head – CPOD.
The session concluded with a memento distribution ceremony as a token of appreciation to the speakers, followed by a vote of thanks.
Overall, the session was highly informative and beneficial, helping students enhance their confidence and awareness about career opportunities in AI.
