IEEE DAY CELEBRATION AT PACE

As a Part of IEEE Day celebration, IEEE PACE organized two significant events in collaboration with partner organizations, resulting in enriching experiences for both students and faculty.
1. Outreach Program Session for First-year Computer Science and Engineering Students of P. A polytechnic (October 4th, 2023):
This session aimed to provide students with a robust introduction to programming and vital computer science concepts. The program commenced with welcoming addresses from Prof. Habeeb Ur Rehman and Dr. Sharmila Kumari, highlighting the importance of programming. The heart of the session featured an introduction to programming delivered by Mohammed Nouman and Muadh Bin Mohammed Ali, covering essential programming topics. Participant feedback was highly positive, with newfound confidence in programming skills.
2. Panel Discussion on Academia-Industry Collaboration (October 5th, 2023):
IEEE team at PACE hosted a panel discussion on academia-industry collaboration in curriculum design and delivery. This discussion featured esteemed industry experts representing various companies, focusing on bridging the gap between academia and industry. The session began with a warm welcome from the Principal of PA College of Engineering to the esteemed panel members. Dr. Sharmila Kumari welcomed the panel and introduced faculty members. The discussion aimed to seek industry support in subjects such as Object-oriented concepts, Database management systems, Data structures, Automata theory, AI/ML, and Big data analytics. This event emphasized the importance of collaboration between academia and industry to provide students with up-to-date knowledge.
3. IEEE Celebration with Cake Cutting:
An enjoyable and memorable moment took place at PACE. IEEE members and faculty gathered to celebrate this special occasion. The highlight of the celebration was the cake cutting ceremony, symbolizing unity and camaraderie among the IEEE community and faculty members. The cake cutting ceremony marked not only the IEEE Day but also the ongoing commitment of PACE to support and encourage technological advancements and knowledge sharing among its members.
