On March 13th, 2025, the Training and Placement Department of P. A. College of Engineering, Mangalore, organized a highly insightful Civil Services Orientation Program for second and third-year Engineering students. The event took place in the seminar hall and was led by Mr. Sobhan George Abraham, an esteemed speaker and expert in the field, along with Mr. Vivek, the Managing Director of CLS Academy. This session was designed to provide students with valuable insights into the UPSC examination process, including tips on preparation, strategies for success, and the importance of effective coaching in cracking this prestigious exam. The speakers emphasized the rigorous nature of the UPSC exams and encouraged the students to stay motivated and focused on their goal, highlighting the importance of discipline, time management, and continuous learning.

The session, moderated by the Training and Placement Officer, Mr. Mohammad Hussain K, along with Mr. Chethan, Placement Coordinator, Department of Mechanical engineering provided a comprehensive understanding of the UPSC exams. The students had the opportunity to ask questions, engage in discussions, and interact with the speakers to clarify doubts about the examination process and preparation strategies. 

Principal Dr. Ramis M. K., also graced the event and motivated the students to take up the challenges. He also presented a memento to Mr. Sobhan George Abraham as a token of appreciation for his valuable contribution to the session. With a total of 80 students participating, the session saw high engagement, as students actively participated in discussions, gaining valuable advice that will undoubtedly help them in their journey toward civil services. The speakers and coordinators emphasized the importance of perseverance and strategic planning in preparing for UPSC and motivated the students to aim high and start early in their preparations.
