The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, in collaboration with IEEE Computer Science Chapter organized 3-day workshop on Cyber Security Challenges and Solutions for the first-year and final year students of Computer Science and Engineering students.

This session was designed to provide these budding students with a strong introduction in the field of Cyber security, Challenges and solutions.  The program took place on 5, 6, 7th October-2023 at PACE E-Learning Centre and featured a comprehensive agenda to ensure a productive learning experience for the participants.

The session commenced with a welcoming address from Prof. Saifuddeen, CSE-Dept., and Dr. Sharmila Kumari, HOD-CSE Dept., gave the significance of new skills in todays world and encouraged the students to actively participate and engage in the session. 

Mr. Mohammed Sheik Nihal (CEO, EyeQ Dot Net Pvt. Ltd.) was the resource person, who provided valuable insights into the world of cybersecurity, discussing cybercrimes, rules, and regulations. Practical demonstrations of cyber activities such as phishing, payment gateway bypassing, and WiFi hacking were showcased to enhance the participants understanding of cybersecurity threats and countermeasures.

Furthermore, a quiz competition was also conducted. This holistic program aimed to equip the first-year Computer Science and Engineering students with awareness of the crucial aspects of cybersecurity in todays digital landscape, while also providing an opportunity for healthy competition and learning through the quiz competition.
