Empowering Women in the Workplace: A Seminar on Breaking the Chains of Harassment

The College Internal Compliance Committee and Women Welfare Committee, in collaboration with Women in Engineering IEEE, organized a compelling talk on "Women Empowerment: Breaking the Chains of Workplace Harassment" on 15th Dec., 2023. Professor Deepthi Udyavar, Head of the Department of Commerce and Management at P. A. First Grade College, served as the resource person. She elucidated the potential of women across diverse sectors and provided a comprehensive overview of constitutional amendment Acts addressing workplace harassment.
Dr. Ramis M.K. acknowledged the pivotal role of women in multitasking, emphasizing that their success hinges on a delicate balance between rights and duties. Dr. Krishna Prasad, Head of the Department of Biotechnology, highlighted the untapped potential of women by sharing inspiring real-life examples that build confidence.
Professor Shainy Mathew C., Coordinator of the Internal Compliance Committee, extended a warm welcome to the gathering. Dr. Asiya Hazareena, Coordinator of the Women Welfare Committee, expressed gratitude in the vote of thanks. The event witnessed active participation from engineering students across various streams and faculty members, creating an environment conducive to fostering awareness and empowerment.
