Pacelympics-24: First Year Sports Day

Pacelympics 2024, organized by the Department of Physical Education in collaboration with FESA, was a resounding success, fostering unity and healthy competition among first-year engineering students. The day commenced with an inspiring march past, won by the spirited Section B, and featured a variety of exciting sports events for both boys and girls.
The formal proceedings began with a prayer led by Mohammed Hafil Yusuf from Section C, followed by a warm welcome speech delivered by Fathima Huda. This set the tone for an exhilarating day filled with camaraderie and sportsmanship. Principal Mr. Ramis M.K took the stage, motivating young minds with a powerful speech and announcing Section B as the winner of the march past. Vice Principal Mrs. Sharmila continued to encourage the participants, emphasizing the importance of sportsmanship in the spirit of healthy competition.
Throughout the day, students showcased their athletic prowess in events like the 100 and 200-meter races, relay competitions, long jumps, shot put, discus throw, cricket, football, throw ball, and tug of war. Notable victories included Section G triumphing in football and Section B claiming the march past title. Despite time constraints, the event highlighted not only physical prowess but also the spirit of camaraderie and competition.
Section D emerged as the leader in the points tally with an impressive 110 points, closely followed by Section B with 77 points. As the clock struck 4:30, day scholars boarded the buses, marking the end of their part in the festivities. The football match continued, with anticipation building for the remaining action scheduled for the upcoming Friday.
Pacelympics 2024 concluded with a triumphant spirit, celebrating the achievements and unity within our college community. In the race of life, every step counts – a sentiment echoed in every athletic endeavour of this remarkable event."
