Unlocking the Future: ICSB Clubs IoT Session Inspires Next-Gen Innovators

On September 13, 2024, the ICSB Club under the Department of Computer Science and Engineering successfully organized a session titled "Unlocking IoT: From Concept to Creation" for second-year CSE students. The session aimed to guide students through IoT concepts and practical project implementations.
The session was led by four fourth-year Computer Science and Engineering students: Ms. Fathimath Fidhana, Ms. Manasa R Chouta, Ms. Sandhya, and Ms. Pallavi. They shared valuable insights into the field of IoT, covering IoT introduction, principles, importance, and industry applications, as well as step-by-step IoT project implementation, live project demonstration, researching project ideas, sourcing components, and understanding hardware components.
Additionally, the speakers provided tips on securing internships in IoT, networking, and interview preparation. They also shared their experiences participating in the ACCS Design Challenge (ADC), encouraging students to engage in similar competitions to enhance their practical knowledge and skills.
The event was hosted by Ms. Ayesha Ameera and supported by Dr. Shamna N V, HOD of the Department of Computer Science (IoT, Cybersecurity, and Blockchain), along with Prof. Afeefa Nazneen and Ms. Meghashree as faculty coordinators. Student coordinators included Mr. Muhammad Haashid, Mr. Muhammed Zayan Sameer, Mr. Vineeth S.N, Mr. Jishnu JP, Mr. Jabir Ali Usman M, and Mr. Mohammed Raafi.
The interactive session concluded with a quiz, engaging participants actively. The event received positive feedback, providing students with an enriching experience that enhanced their understanding of IoT and its real-world applications.
