On 28th September 2024, GLUG PACE and IEI hosted a comprehensive session titled "Exploring the Future of Web3 through Blockchain Innovation", featuring Mr. Shakeel Ahammed, a Software Engineer at EG. The event aimed to provide 3rd-year CSE students with a deep dive into blockchain technology and Web3.

The session was divided into two parts, beginning with theoretical concepts. Mr. Ahammed introduced blockchain as a decentralized and transparent ledger essential for data security and Web3 as the next evolution of the internet. Interactive discussions and videos enhanced students understanding of these concepts, including the emergence of Bitcoin.

The second half shifted to hands-on training in blockchain trading. Participants learned to set up cryptocurrency wallets, focusing on security practices, and engaged with trading platforms like Ganache and MetaMask. Under Mr. Ahammeds guidance, they executed buy and sell orders on decentralized exchanges and practiced tracking market trends.

By the end of the session, students gained practical skills and confidence to explore decentralized finance. The staff coordinators acknowledged Mr. Ahammeds valuable contribution to the students learning experience.

The workshop successfully balanced theoretical knowledge with practical application, enriching students understanding of the evolving digital economy and empowering them to navigate the rapidly expanding world of Web3 and blockchain technology.
