Invited talk on “Deep Dive into Deep Learning”

The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, in collaboration with Artelligence, IEEE, and the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society, organized a two-day hands-on workshop on Deep Learning at P. A. College of Engineering, Mangalore, from November 5-6, 2024.
The workshop began with an invocation by Aamil Abdulla, followed by a welcome speech from Nafeesa Rihana and the introduction by master of ceremony Nihad Iqbal Khan. The Principal Dr Ramis MK and Dr.Manjula V, HOD of the AIML Department then shared their insights, highlighting the importance of deep learning in todays industry.
The workshop, aimed at final-year AIML students, featured expert sessions led by Dr. Ahmed Rimaz Faizabadi, a seasoned AI/ML consultant with over 15 years of experience. Participants learned to build and deploy real-time computer vision models using tools like PyTorch, CUDA, Roboflow, and Ultralytics. The workshop covered key topics such as setting up AI environments, creating and annotating datasets, integrating edge devices, and collaborative coding with GitHub. The event provided valuable practical experience, enhancing students skills in developing AI-driven applications for real-time scenarios. Dr.Mohammed Zakir, IEEE Branch Counsellor Coordinated the entire event.
