The Research and Development Cell of P. A. College of Engineering organized a Faculty Development Program (FDP) on "Exploring IEEE Xplore: Transforming Teaching and Research Practices" on December 12, 2024. The program aimed to enhance teaching and research methodologies through the effective use of IEEE Xplore.

Prof. Nazreena delivered the welcome address, warmly welcoming the participants, dignitaries, and the resource person, Mr. Srinivasa, Senior Customer Training Specialist at EBSCO Information Services. Prof. Nazreena introduced the chief guest, highlighting his expertise in training and supporting academic institutions in utilizing digital resources.

Mr. Srinivasa conducted an engaging and informative technical session, showcasing the features and benefits of IEEE Xplore. He highlighted the following key features:

1. Author Center: A platform for authors to manage their publications, track citations, and access personalized metrics.

2. Advanced Search: A robust search functionality that enables users to refine their searches using various filters, such as keywords, authors, and publication dates.

3. Subscribe Content: A feature that allows users to subscribe to specific journals, conferences, or topics, ensuring they stay updated on the latest research.

4. EBSCO Resources: A collection of databases, e-books, and other digital resources that complement IEEE Xplore.

5. My Project: A personalized workspace where users can save and organize their research, including articles, searches, and citations.

Prof. Afsar Baig delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the resource person, Mr. Srinivasa, for sharing his expertise and providing valuable insights into IEEE Xplore. Dr. Sharmila Kumari, Vice Principal, presented a token of gratitude to Mr. Srinivasa, acknowledging his contribution. Dr Abdul Razak, Research coordinator was also present in the session.
