Department of Computer science and engineering in association with PaceNext Alumni Association organised Tech talk on "Kubernetes: engine behind scalable application" as a part 5-day PACE ALUMNI CONCLAVE on 18/2/2025 at Multipurpose Hall.
The session was conducted at the Multipurpose Hall of the college, with the expert guidance of Mr. Suhail Afsal, a Specialist Programmer III at Infosys Mangalore. With his vast industry experience, Mr. Afsal delivered an engaging talk on the fundamental concepts of Kubernetes, its role in managing containerized applications, and how it contributes to building scalable, resilient, and efficient software systems.
Mr. Suhail Afsal shared his expertise on Kubernetes, focusing on its practical applications in the real-world tech industry. He elaborated on the key features of Kubernetes, including container orchestration, auto-scaling, and load balancing, which are essential for building robust applications.
The event was hosted by Prof. Fathimath Raihan, who ensured smooth proceedings and maintained engagement throughout the session. The session was coordinated by Prof. Divya K K, the Alumni Coordinator of the Computer Science Department. The program was attended by the Professor Hayan, HOD In-charge of the Computer Science Department, and Prof. Habeeb UR Rahman, Alumni Coordinator of P.A. College of Engineering. Their presence added weight to the program. Prof. Habeeb UR Rahman demonstrated the importance of alumni involvement in the development of the current student community. The primary audience for this session were the 4th semester Computer Science students, who actively participated and posed insightful questions throughout the session.
The session on Kubernetes: Engine behind Scalable Applications was an enriching experience for the 4th semester Computer Science students. It provided them with an understanding of one of the most widely used tools in the industry today.
