On Friday, August 4th, 2023, the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) collaborated with IEEE, EMBS, and AESS to host a remarkable technical talk on the topic "Generative AI for Research Writing and Publishing: An Overview." The event took place at the multipurpose hall of P. A. College of Engineering, Mangalore, and aimed to benefit research scholars from various colleges and faculty members from various departments.

The technical talk began at 2:45 pm and concluded at 4:30 pm, featuring a distinguished speaker, Dr. Saif Abrar, an Advisory System Engineer at IBM. Dr. Abrar delivered an insightful presentation, delving into the realm of artificial intelligence and its recent strides, particularly focusing on generative AI technologies. One of the highlights of the event was a live demonstration of Chat GPT, where Dr. Abrar showcased its practical applications and its immense potential in the field of education.

The session proved to be engaging and interactive, sparking thought-provoking discussions among the participants about the cutting-edge developments in Chat GPT application and its relevance in education. Miss. Afeefa Banu, a second-year CS student, warmly welcomed everyone to the event, and Miss. Fathima Hafisa, a second-year CS student, introduced the esteemed speaker.

At the end of the talk, Miss. Afeefa Banu expressed a formal vote of thanks to Dr. Saif Abrar and all the participants for their valuable contributions, making the event a resounding success. In appreciation of his valuable insights, Dr. Abrar was presented with a memento by the Principal-Dr. Ramis M. K.
