Department of Civil Engineering

Civil Engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of buildings, roads, railways, airports, bridges, dams, canals, water & waste water treatment, solid waste management system, etc. The department provides the skills & knowledge to students to solve Civil Engineering problems in a global, societal and environmental context, consistent with the principles of sustainable development.

The Civil Engineering department provides state-of-the-art facilities and infrastructure facilities to achieve the goal by providing our expertise in teaching and learning to our students in order to shape their character as professional, future ready and tangible civil engineers. The department is well equipped with specialized laboratories which provide expertise & facility to work on emerging technologies. Computer laboratory is having licensed software’s like ETABS STAADPRO, AUTOCAD etc. which the students can use for analysis, design & drawing of structures.

The Department of civil Engineering has highly qualified and experienced staff which helps in kindling inherent inquisitiveness dormant in young minds of students. Both the theoretical and experimental aspects are addressed.

FORCE (Fraternity Of Rising Civil Engineers) is a department forum established for students association activities like organizing seminars, technical talks, industry institute interaction, industrial visits so that the students can take part and enrich their technical knowledge and also improve their confidence level through addressing, gathering and group discussions. As a part of consultancy, the department offers services like testing of construction materials, soils exploration, water quality analysis, design of structures and quality assurance inspection for many private, state and central government organizations.
