The Department of Basic Science in association with NSS PACE chapter organized a Webinar on the topic COVID-19 Vaccination- Myths and Facts on 10th June,2021. The speaker for the session was DR. Mohammed Ismail H MBBS, MD, FRCP Edin, and Professor at KMC Mangalore. Mr.Abdulla Ibrahim ,Executive Director, PAET, was the Guest of honour for the session. The session was presided over by Dr. Ramis M.K., Principal, PACE. The session was witnessed by Dr. Sharmila Kumari (Vice Principal PACE), Dr. Sayyad Ameen Ahammad (Dean (SA) of PAET and Director of CMSR, PACE, heads and faculty of various departments and First Year Students of PACE.

Dr. Mohammed Ismail H shared his thoughts over Covid-19 crisis, his knowledge on the Corona Virus and its effects. He shared his insightful thoughts about the Corona virus, its implications and how it has affected the current situation. He spoke about the early detection and also on the prevention of the deadly virus. He enlightened the audience about the importance of Covid Vaccine and its authenticity. He spoke about the myths regarding the vaccine that is being spread falsely through the social media. He also guided everybody through the SOPs that one must follow. Besides, he encouraged the young minds to get themselves and their fellow beings vaccinated. The session was followed by wonderful discussion where the students and faculty members had the opportunity to gain more knowledge on the topic.

The program began with the invocation led by Prof.Zeeshan. Miss. Nafeesath Irfana delivered the welcome address and Miss Disha D Naik proposed the vote of thanks. Miss Shabnaz was the Master of ceremony and the program was well coordinated by Prof.Ismail Shaffi and Prof.Mitra K.
