ISTE, IEI, and GRSS IEEE student chapters of the P.A. College of Engineering, Mangalore, organized a captivating technical talk on drone-based Mapping on March 12th, 2024.                                  

Dr. Pruthiviraj U., Associate Professor, Department of Water Resources and Ocean Engineering at NITK Suratkal, was the resource person. He illuminated the audience with insights into drones. He also emphasized the applications of drones across diverse sectors, including agriculture, defence, oceanography, and port management. Various drone models were showcased, accompanied by detailed technical details.

Mechanical Engineering; IEI Coordinator, Dr. Praveen Suvarna; ISTE Coordinator, Dr. Maruthi Prashanth B. H.; and IEI Coordinator Ankitha Bakal of

computer science department, along with faculty, non-teaching staff, and IEI students. Coordinator Mahamad Asif S. and students from different departments graced the occasion.

Abdul Shaheed Kaiseeran, a student of the Civil Engineering Department, extended a warm welcome to the gathering, setting the tone for the event. The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Maruthi Prashanth B. H., expressing gratitude to all participants for their active engagement. During his speech, Dr. Ramis M.K. underscored the significance of drone applications in various sectors, emphasizing their potential to revolutionize industries. Dr. Palakshappa K. encouraged students to seize opportunities and contribute to shaping a better future through technological innovation. The event was efficiently orchestrated by Mariyam Aleena Mahin, a student from the Civil Engineering Department who served as the Master of Ceremony.
