The second day of the induction programme conducted on 6th May, dealt with an invited talk on Emerging Trends and Career Choices. Dr Sharmila Kumari, Vice Principal, PACE, gave introductory remarks and highlighted the significance of this topic. The resource person for this session was Dr. Kukoo Khare, Manager (Program Design & Strategy), Dr. Reddys Foundation, Hyderabad. She emphasized on innovations as an important aspect while making career choices and shared her valuable insights in the field of computing, technology, cybersecurity and biotechnology. She also mentioned the importance of biomimicry and how one could develop wonders blending nature and technology resulting in applications that benefit the mankind. She concluded the session stating the skills like problem solving, sustainable thinking are the current focus required for an emerging future. At the end of the session, the students interacted with the speaker gaining more insights on the topic. The session was well coordinated by Prof. Ismail Shaffi and Prof. Mitra K.
