AIDS Awareness day was observed in the department of Biotechnology, P. A. College of Engineering on 1st Dec., 2021. Mr. Manjunath G. a third year student of Biotechnology, briefed about the consequences and precautions to be taken to prevent and control the spread of the disease. An interactive quiz conducted during the program created awareness of the causative agent, mechanism of pathogenesis, disease progression and the programs undertaken by the government for the prohibition and control of AIDS. Dr. Ramis, Principal of the college, Dr. Krishna Prasad, Head of the Biotechnology department and Mrs. Shainy Mathew, Coordinator of Biotek Pace Forum were present at the programme. Ms. Fathima Naja welcomed the gathering and Ms. Feenah proposed the vote of thanks.
